My Philosophy
We are relational beings shaped by connection, meaning, and the quiet resilience that carries us through our hardest seasons. We carry stories in our minds and bodies, hopes in our hearts, and a longing to feel at home within ourselves and with others. Even in moments of deep pain, we remain capable of choosing how we meet our thoughts, emotions, and the tender places within us.
Growth rarely arrives all at once. More often, it unfolds gradually and messily, bit by bit, through an expanding sense of what feels possible. We learn. We adapt. We slip into old patterns. We rebuild. We fall. We rise again.
My work is to help you access your innate capacity for healing with warmth, curiosity, and grounded, evidence‑based care. Together, we make space to understand what you’re experiencing, what may be keeping you stuck, and what it might look like to move toward a life that feels authentic, meaningful, and aligned with who you are and who you want to be.
How I Work: Where Science Meets Humanity
I practice where science and humanity meet, blending modern behavioral research with deep listening, authentic presence, and a holistic understanding of the human experience. Every tool we use is intentionally introduced and tailored to your unique history, present circumstances, nervous system, and goals.
I view symptoms not as signs of something "wrong," but as meaningful signals pointing toward unmet needs, protective strategies, or places of pain that deserve our attention. Together, we shift away from asking "What’s wrong with me?" and begin exploring questions like:
"What is my mind trying to protect me from?"
"What is this experience asking me to notice?"
"What matters most beneath this pain?"
An Integrative Acceptance & Mindfulness-Based Approach
My clinical foundation is rooted in cognitive behavioral principles, with specialization in acceptance and mindfulness‑based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
These methods help soften the struggle with difficult thoughts, memories, feelings, behaviors, and body sensations. They invite you to meet your inner experience with greater openness and less judgment, allowing you to show up with your whole self, including the steady parts, the uncertain ones, the wounded places, and everything in between. As this capacity grows, you learn to keep moving toward what matters most to you, even when discomfort is present, and to shape a life that feels meaningful and worth living.
I thoughtfully integrate these approaches with existential, contemplative, and attachment‑based traditions, pairing practical, evidence-based skills with deeper reflective work.
What to Expect in Our Work
Therapy with me is collaborative, paced with care, and grounded in respect for your strengths, history, and hopes. We explore your experiences, identify patterns that no longer serve you, and gently widen the path forward.
A Safe Place to Explore: A safe, attuned relationship is the ground where change takes root. I strive to offer a steady, compassionate space where you can examine your internal world without judgment. You bring your lived experience: what has shaped you, what you’re currently navigating, and what you long for. I bring clinical knowledge, careful attention, and a genuine commitment to honoring your natural ability to heal and grow.
Values-Driven Direction: Rather than focusing on who you think you should be, we clarify what truly matters to you and let those core values guide our work. Even when difficult thoughts and feelings arise, we keep you oriented toward the relationships, experiences, and goals that bring meaning to your life.
Small Shifts, Lasting Change: Change often begins in small moments: noticing a familiar pattern, making room for uncomfortable feelings, or choosing a new response to an old impulse. We recognize that every behavior served a function at some point in your life. We strengthen what supports your well-being and reshape what limits you, building healthier ways to relate to your mind, body, and daily actions.
Care That Evolves With You: We regularly reflect on what’s working and where adjustments may be helpful. As your needs evolve, our work evolves with you, remaining responsive, effective, and aligned with your goals.
Whether you find yourself overwhelmed, uncertain, lost, hurting, or simply ready for change, I strive to offer a grounded space to pause, understand, and begin moving forward. It would be an honor to walk alongside you.
